Ironstone Staffords is a hobby breeder specializing in the preservation of the True Staffordshire Bull Terrier. That means all of our Staffords not only possess breed type, but also have maintained the mental and temperamental characteristics of their brave ancestors. We strive to breed the finest quality Staffords, suitable for conformation showing, working events, and as a foremost family companion. We are an up and coming kennel located just south of Atlanta, Georgia.
Here at Ironstone Staffords, we place an emphasis on the total Stafford--which means that while our dogs do possess nice bone and substance and have good breed type, we also require our dogs to possess a "can-do" attitude, spunky and lively and full of zest. We feel that in many of the Staffordshire Bull Terriers that we come across today, the temperament is being bred out of them. While they may look good, their desire and overall ability is lacking in many instances. Therefore, we mandate that any dog that is considered worthy of being called an Ironstone Stafford MUST possess courage, heart, and tenacity worthy of being labeled a STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER.
